He was predeceased by: his mothers, Lillian Brown Klicka and Clara Joyce Pruitt Newman; his daughter Kensla Joy Crapps; and his brothers, Jerry and Carey Klicka.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Kathy" Senterfeit Klicka of Batesburg; his daughter Kazian Shull of Columbia; his stepson Barron Gantt; and his siblings, Myrix Newman of Asheboro, NC, Tony Klicka (Brenda) of Lexington and Connie McCoy (Ed) of Statesville, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
