With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carson Cato Jr. of Batesburg, South Carolina, born in Monetta, South Carolina, who passed away on June 16, 2022 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carson Whitfield Cato, Sr. and Eula Lee Whetstone Cato; his sister Ida Lee Cato; and his brother-in-law Gene Cockrell. He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Cook Cato; his children, Dana Marie Cato Risher (Buri) and Donald Whitfield Cato (Sandra); his grandchildren, AJ Gidron (Erica), Jade Gidron, Sean Whitfield Cato, Michael Donley Cato and Rebecca Elaine Cato; and his siblings, Clarence Michael Cato (Loretta) and Phyllis Cato Cockrell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
