He is survived by: his wife Sandy Porth Black; his son Jerry J. Black; his sister Jeldine Black; his granddaughters, Michelle M. Black, Jennifer M. Black and Lisa L. Alley; and his great grandchildren, Gwen Black, Zach Alley, Jackson Alley and Chloe M. Black.
