She was predeceased by: her parents, James Fallaw and Bessie Wells Fallaw; her son Jay Carson; and her siblings, Byron Fallaw, Phyllis Hartley and Judy Price.
She is survived by: her husband James P. "Jimmy" Carson, Jr.; and her brother Marvin Fallaw. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
