He was predeceased by: his parents, Hammond Peebles and Doris Hagin Peebles. He is survived by: his sister Faye Strickland of Augusta; his niece Stephanie Johnson; and his great-nephew Jonathan Johnson of Martinez, GA..

A private burial will be held at a later date due to Covid 19 restrictions at West View Cemetery.
