She was predeceased by: her husband James H. Sutton; her sons, John Sutton and Ronald Sutton; her parents, Haper McNeil and Lily Brown; and her siblings, Estelle B. Mott (John), James McNeil, Jackie Chapman and Issac Moore.

She is survived by: her daughter Peggy Sutton-Jenkins (Leo); her siblings, Anna Bell Moore, James Charlie Williams and Bernard Chapman; and her sister-in-law Emily McNeil. She is also survived by three grandchildren, five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
