He is survived by: his wife Mary Banks West; and his children, Angela Burns (Odell), Janice Richardson (Kenneth), Ulysses West, Jr. (Robin) and Terry West (Sabine). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
