It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Edward Simmons (Allendale, South Carolina), born in Hampton, South Carolina, who passed away on August 2, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen Murdaugh Simmons; and his parents, Charlie Edward and Marie Smith Simmons. He is survived by: his children, William E. Simmons, Jr. (Dianna), Anthony C. Simmons (late Margaret), Tommy A. Simmons (late Linda) and Patricia S. Hankins (late Glen); his siblings, Lewis Simmons, Harold Sommons, Hazel S. Harter, Cecil Simmons and Marie S. Gordy; and his pet P. O. Box. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
