He was predeceased by: his wife Laura Meredith Murphy; his parents, William A. Murphy (Bill) and Eleanor Gingrey Murphy; and his brother Larry Murphy. He is survived by: his daughters, Suzanne Boyd (George), Meredith Gainey (Daniel) and Kathy Prince (Brian); and his grandchildren, Alex Stone, Ashley Stone, Amanda Prince, Charlie Prince, Bailey Gainey and Lawson Gainey.
