He was predeceased by: his father Theodore Carven; and his brother Theodore Craven. He is survived by: his mother Marilyn E. Craven (Vardner); his son Timothy M. Craven Jr. (Amanda); his grandsons, Zachary and Benjamin Craven; and his sisters, Marilyn Mulholland and Joyce Petrella.
