She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Bitzer and Ruth Bitzer (Graham); and her brother Brian Bitzer. She is survived by: her husband Ernest D. Schmitt; her daughter Susan Schwab (Steve) of Narragansett; her grandchildren, Maggie, Drew and Brady Schwab; and her brothers, Joseph Bitzer of St. Louis, MO, David Bitzer of Memphis, TN and Eugene Bitzer of France.
