She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Karlson and Elizabeth Karlson (Kulnar); and her sibling Ruth Posuniak. She is survived by: her spouse Frederick Owen; her children, Mark of Wakefield, Carl of Wakefield and Paul Johnson of Wakefield; and her siblings, Marion Bessette and Joan Braten.
