He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Emeline Stanton; his wife Persis Stanton (Brown); his children, Gayle Hazard of Narragansett, Bradley Stanton (Susan) of Nauvoo, Lorraine Keyes (Dempsey) of West Warwick and Mary Ellen Stanton (Michael) of North Kingstown; his stepchildren, Persis Clinton, Abdul Muwwakil and John Brown; his brother Wilbur Stanton (Jean); his former wife Mary Stanton (Hazard); his children, Robert Stanton, Kevin Stanton, Joanne Stanton and Anthony Stanton; and his sisters, Lila Jenkins and Doris Reels.
