It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Shanley Jr. of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 3, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Joyce (Sweeney) and John Patrick Shanley. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Shanley (Davis); his daughters, Ann Gardner (Richmond) of South Kingstown and Margaret Murphy of Newport; his grandchildren, Delia and Declan Foley of South Kingstown; and his siblings, Mary McDonald (Arthur) of East Greenwich and Miles Shanley (Madeline) of Charlotte, NC..
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to Providence College.
