He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Clinton and Mary Jane Gardiner (Chapple); his sister Mary E. Gardner (Clifford T. Gardner, Sr.); and his nieces and nephews, Clifford, William, Franklin Gardner, Joyce Gardner Dias and Marilyn Barrington.
He is survived by: his niece Betty Rocha; and his nephews, Norman S. Gardner and Glenn R. Gardner.
