He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Smith (Tehan) and James E. Smith of Providence; his brother James A. Smith; and his wife Jane Marie Smith (Baxter). He is survived by: his children, Heather Smith Souza (Jamie Souza), James F. Smith (Madhuur Ahuja) and Ryan Smith (Karla Beard-Smith); his grandchildren, Kaleb, Zachary, Meher, Serenity-Rayne and Temperance-Rose; and his close friend Marcie Marine.
