He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sandra Barden (Bateman); his children, Andrew M. Barden (Colleen), Stacey L. Barden and Luke B. Barden; his grandchild Adelyn M. Barden; his grandfather John; his siblings, Carolyn Bishop (Gil) of Scituate, RI and Charles Barden (Dianne) of Wamego, KS; his aunt Marilyn Wixson of Plymouth, NH; and his uncle John Barden (Vicky) of Blacksburg, VA.. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
