Black Dockery of Newport, Rhode Island, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 31, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence C. Dockery; her parents, Albert W. Black and Cornelia "Connie" Black; her siblings, G. W. Black, James W. Black Sr. and Marie Shenesky; and her pet Queenie.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ellen Pike (Alan) of Louisville, Linda Dockery of Oklahoma City, OK, Michael Dockery of Irvine, CA and John Dockery (Donna) of Southaven, MS; her grandchildren, Randall Pike (Lindsay) of Burke, VA, Emily Pike Stewart (Christopher) of Louisville, Mary Kate Dockery of Chicago, IL, Lawrence, Patrick and Bridget Dockery of Southaven, MS; and her great grandchildren, Rowan and Julian Pike.
Due to Covid-19, a Memorial Mass and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
