He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Burke and Marguerite Burke (Warren); his daughter Emily; and his brother Robert Burke. He is survived by: his wife Susan J. Burke (King); his daughters, Melissa Barton (John) of Blackstone and Eleanor Burke-Baxter (Larry) of Lincoln; his siblings, Carol Esterline of Hillsdale, MI, Cathy Rice of Uniontown, PA, Ronald Burke of Toledo, OH, Douglas Burke of Hillsdale, MI, David Burke of Hillsdale, MI, Thomas Burke of Reading, MI and Timothy Burke of The Woodlands, TX; his granddaughter Tara Abigail; his stepgrandchildren, Kevin and Kaitlyn; his great grandchildren, Bella and Aylakai; and his son Frederick Burke.
