He was predeceased by: his daughter Angel Marie Cote; his great grandchild Lilianna Provost; his son-in-law Dennis Alwine; and his parents, Gilbert L. Cote and Celia Cote (Giguere).
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne H. Cote (Harpin); his children, Rosanne C. Alwine, Ronald M. Cote (Suzanne) and Lisa J. Carpentier (Robert); his sister Jeannine V. Dionne (John); and his grandchildren, David Alwine, Steven Alwine, Sharyn Thomas (Alwine), Elena Coombs (Alwine), Eric Cote, Julie Keene (Cote), Robert Carpentier Jr., Daniel Carpentier and Shannon Turcotte (Carpentier). He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
