He was predeceased by: his parents, Julio Goncalo Camara and Ermelinda Campos Goncalo; and his siblings, Anjos Viera and Maria of Fatima Goncalo. He is survived by: his wife Betty Goncalo (Furtado); his children, Joseph "Eddy" Goncalo (Dianne) of East Providence and Maria (Tony) of Fatima Pereira; his grandchildren, Brianna Poco, Mackenzie Rivera, Ian Goncalo and Addison Goncalo; his great grandchildren, Michael Luis Rivera and Le'Andro Manuel Rivera; and his sisters, Teresa Camara of São Miguel, Florinda Camara, Isaura Moniz and Rosalina Melo. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
