He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Manuel and Angelina Furtado; his wife Maria Jose Soares Furtado (Soares); his sons, Joseph B Furtado, Jr. (Alfred B. Furtado) of East Providence and Stacia Furtado (Chmura) of Pawcatuck, CT; and his grandchildren, Jessica L. Foss, Jake B. Furtado and Alec B. Furtado.
