He is survived by: his wife Diana M. Reels (Griffin); his sons, Gordon Jr. of East Providence, RI and Richard Reels of East Providence, RI; and his brother Martin Reels (Kathleen) of South Kingstown, RI.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
