He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Whitcomb and Ignacia Whitcomb of Groton, CT; and his wife Lois (Zimmerman) Whitcomb. He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Whitcomb of Old Lyme, CT and Nacia Patterson of Waterford, CT; his children, James Whitcomb (Joanne (Del Deo)) of New Braunfels, TX, Deborah Whitcomb (Michael Dixon) of Guilford, CT, Nacia (Michael Lipton) of Yardley, PA and Donna (Paul Stouber) of Providence, RI; his grandchildren, Jennifer Jendrzey, Jessica Tetzlaff, Juliet Whitcomb-Dixon, Caleb Whitcomb-Dixon, Matthew Lipton, Erica Lipton, Abigail Ostrovsky and Zmira Stouber; and his great grandchildren, Theodore Jendrzey, Ian and Zoe Tetzlaff.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Whitcomb's memory to Arnold Mills United Methodist Church, 690 Nate Whipple Highway, Cumberland, RI 02864 or The American Heart Association would be appreciated.
