He was predeceased by: his wife Irene M. Pontbriant (Corneau); his parents, Wilfred Pontbriant and Edna Dupras Pontbriant; his child Claire Gingras; and his sister Ellen Pontbriant.
He is survived by: his children, Roger M. Pontbriant (Mary Ellen) of Harrisville, Gloria F. Kelliher (Paul) of West Roxbury, MA, Diane E. Martin (late John) of Harrisville and Ronald O. Pontbriant (Linda) of Cumberland; and his siblings, Ellen Gertrude Fugere of Lincoln, Gerald Pontbriant of Central Falls, Irene Bonin and Jane Trahan. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
