It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth I. Read of Cranston, Rhode Island, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Mary C. Read (Lanois); his parents, Thomas I. B. and Sarah A. Read (Smith); and his sisters, Dorothy Salois and Irene Baptista.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah A. DiChiara (late Frank) of Cranston and Donna M. Fontaine of Rumford; his sister Edith Read of Cumberland; and his grandchildren, Brian Fontaine (Amy) of Rehoboth, Dawn Travers of Pawtucket, Jessica Tate (Bonnie) of Cranston and Jason Tate of West Warwick. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
