She was predeceased by: her parents, William F. Sandbergen and Theresa Sandbergen (Gavin); and her sister Carole Stone. She is survived by: her husband Leonard R. Shappy; her daughters, Shearon Sevigny (Thomas), Susan Shappy, Carolyn Shappy and Christine Cowen; and her brother William Sandbergen (Elaine). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
