He was predeceased by: his spouse Irene L. Leonhardt (Cooney); his parent George F.; and his sibling Dorothy Hacker. He is survived by: his parent Margaret Leonhardt (Costello); his children, Frank Ricci (Barbie) and George "Bud" Leonhardt III; his wife Patty; his sibling Margaret Donovan-Fritz; and also, Jo-Ann Jalette (Paul), Barbara Guilbault (Peter), Jay Leonhardt (Debra), Mary and Joseph. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
