It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Fredrick William Overy Sr. of Bristol, Rhode Island, born in Quincy, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Marianna G.; his parents, Charles Overy and Rena Overy (Lindblom); his siblings, Gloria Overy, Charles "Chichi" Haywood, Rena Walorz, Emil Walorz, Cindy Overy and Kathy Overy; and his brother-in-law Robert Luciano (Margie).
He is survived by: his children, John Overy Jr. (Nina) of Johnston, David Haywood (Laurie) of Fall River, Linda Oliveira (Lee) of Bristol, Marianne Overy (Paul) of Pawtucket, Frank Overy (Karen) of Bristol, Paula Stephenson (Keith) of Bristol and Suzanne Francis of Warren; his siblings, Ruth Crumblis, Anna Overy, Betty Overy, Steven Overy and William Overy; and his sisters-in-law, Anne Devlin and Rita Vigneau. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
