He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard N. Bechtel and Anna M. Bechtel (Markle); his son Donald Bechtel; and his brothers, Cyril and Orvin Bechtel.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis J. Bechtel (Snyder); his sons, Wayne Bechtel of Red Lion and Jonathan Bechtel (Lynne) of Lititz; his grandchildren, Matthew Bechtel (Kelli), Jennifer Walker (Eric), David Bechtel (Emily) and Andrew Bechtel (Adelee); and his siblings, Sterling Bechtel, Phyllis Graybill, Glenn Bechtel and Barry Bechtel. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wolf's Covenant Church.
