He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys S. Smith and Melvin E. Schwartz; his wife Mary; his sons, James Schwartz (Jim) and Rev. John Schwartz (Buss); and his sister Jeanne Gross.
He is survived by: his children, Robert S. Schwartz and Lana Jo Smith. He is also survived by grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
