He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia J. Hoerr (Olphin); his parents, William Hoerr and Helen Hoerr (Kauffman); and his son John D. Hoerr, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, James M. Hoerr (Judy) of Airville, Daniel S. Hoerr (Christine Emma) of Windsor, Judy A. Sterner (Michael) of Seven Valleys and Jeri B. Dettinger (Lonnie) of Red Lion; his grandchildren, Travis, Jen, Matt, Jonathan, Jordan, Britt, Caity and Micah; his great grandchildren, Gretta, Ty, Sarah, Eric, Jacob, Jackson, Scarlett, Emmett, Jaxson and Patrick; his brothers, Thomas Hoerr, Charles Hoerr (Marge) and Robert Hoerr (Sue); and his daughter-in-law Chris Hoerr.
