He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Emmanuel and Jennie Gertrude Serfass (Handlong); his wife Carol Ann Serfass (Atkins); and his son-in-law Jeffrey Roth. He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Rader, Leonna Miller and Sherwood Serfass; his children, Cheri Roth of Versailles, OH, Gerald Serfass II (Claudia) of York and Jennifer Dean (John) of Dublin, OH; his grandchildren, Andrew Roth (Kristen) of Columbus, OH, Elizabeth Poeppelman (Phil) of Versailles, OH, Alexandra Dean of Chicago, IL, Ian Dean of Winter Park and Gavin Dean of Dublin, OH; his great grandchildren, JJ, Amelia and Katherine; and his partner Gertraude Barton.
