He was predeceased by: his parents, Norwood Knappenberger and Ruth Knappenberger (McCraken); his granddaughter Renee Knappenberger; and his former wife Wilma Knappenberger. He is survived by: his wife Susan M. Knappenberger (Gamble); his children, Lawn, Amy Knappenberger of Ford City, John Crissman (Cheri) of Leechburg and Susan Foster of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Kirsten, Martina, Derek, Natasha, Adam, Aaron, Alex and Andrea; and his sister Marie Wilson (Jim) of Worthington. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
