He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant S. Mahon and Catherine S. Mahon (Faxon); his siblings, Grant Jr. and Margaret; and his grandson Joseph Wentzel.
He is survived by: his wife Carole (Beard); his children, Laurie, William, Michael and Melissa Wentzel; his grandchildren, Mille Taylor, Ashley (Bernard Steve), Rebecca (Wentzel), Miller (Vincent Cavanni), Carissa (Christopher Mills), Timothy Wentzel, Michael, Amanda and Nicholas Mahon; and his great grandchildren, Holden, Ethan Steve, Spencer Essick, Lucille Miller, Chase and Cohen Mills.
