He was predeceased by: his former wife Regina Fili (McGettigan); his wife Lillian Love Fili; his parents, Carl Fili and Margaret Fili; and his siblings, John Fili, Carl L. Fili, Jr. and Marie Todor.
He is survived by: his sisters, Peggy Yates of East Orange and Dorothy Stokes; his children, William Jr. and Carolyn Bratton (Alan); and his grandson Justin Bratton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
