He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Slater and Vinnie Slater; his brothers, Dale and Darrell Slater; and his daughter Colleen Yurick.
He is survived by: his significant other Betty Lou Conklin; his brother Dan Slater of Bradford; his sons, Anthony Nelson of Warren, James Nelson (Debbie) of California and Richard Nelson (Cristina) of California; his grandchildren, Aaron, Leslie Nelson, Phoebe Nelson, Haley Nelson, Jonathan Nelson, Natalie Nelson and Darlene Cox; his nephew Patrick; his nieces, Sara Conklin and Melody Conklin; and his pet Tramp. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Larry's memory may be made to the Warren Salvation Army.
