She was predeceased by: her significant other Theodore "Ted" Varano; and her daughter Patrice Sminkey. She is survived by: her friend Ted; her children, Julia Varano (Michael Rawlings), Joan Appel (Neil), Maria Varano McDowell (Andrew), Ted Varano (Martha), Mary Zecca (Mark), Sean Varano (Tracy) and Rita Beck (Bill); her grandchildren, Ted Rawlings (Caitlin), Michael Rawlings (Lauren), John Rawlings (Kristin), Catherine Rawlings, Marie Sminkey, Lily Sminkey, Ben Appel, Jude McDowell, Liam McDowell, Lara McDowell, Cade McDowell, Declan McDowell, Samantha Varano (Glen), Ted Varano, Meghan Varano, Nicholas Varano, Gianna Varano, Dominic Varano, Mark Zecca, Jr., Aidan Varano, Clare Varano, Connor Beck and Gavin Beck; and her great grandchildren, Emma Rawlings-Nolt and Helen Rawlings.
