He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvatore Sapienza and Alice Sapienza Donnelly. He is survived by: his wife Paula Sapienza (Bruecken); his children, Mia, Keely Sapienza, Rachel Mamakos (Chris), Joseph Simon (Christie) and DeNiro; his grandchildren, Sophia, Jackson, Camden, Noelle and Summer; and his siblings, Rosette Hillgrove (Bill), Thomas Sapienza (Betsy), Frank Sapienza (Shelia), Patrick Donnelly (Karen) and Kathleen Donnelly (Tony Dixon). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
