He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Atwell and Alma M. Swogger (Spieker). He is survived by: his wife Bonnie L. Eiler; and his children, James "Jim" A. Swogger (Laura) of Robinsville, NC, Valerie Latshaw of Townville and Scott M. Swogger (Rita) of Cochranton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ray's memory to any volunteer fire department or a charity of donor's choice.
