She was predeceased by: her parent Anna Mack. She is survived by: her parent James Mack; her husband Leonard Benson Sr.; her children, Sharon Benson (Joseph "Chipper" Mazzucca) of Throop, James Benson (Pamela Hollenbeck) of Scott Twp, Leonard Benson Jr. (Carol Benson) of Scott Twp and Michael Benson (Lorena Benson); her grandson Hunter Benson of Throop; and her siblings, James Mack (Mary) of Dunmore and Ann Marie Moss. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris Benson's name to Throop United Methodist Church.
