It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lester L. Rittenhouse of Telford, Pennsylvania, born in Franconia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 13, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey B. Rittenhouse and Mary Rittenhouse (Lapp); his daughter Cheryl A. Rittenhouse; and his brother Henry L. Rittenhouse. He is survived by: his wife Rhoda Lorraine Rittenhouse (Beyer); his children, Judith "Judy" F. Buskirk (Philip) of Harrisonburg, VA, James "Jim" L. Rittenhouse (Kendra) of Green Lane, PA and V. Scott Rittenhouse (Sherise) of Telford, PA; his grandchildren, Sean P. Rolon (Jenny) of Leesburg, VA, Steven J. Rittenhouse (Christa Hoover) of Harrisonburg, VA, Joel A. Rittenhouse (Carleigh) of Harrisonburg, VA, Justin S. Rittenhouse of Harrisonburg, VA, Japheth S. Rittenhouse (Rachel) of Telford, PA, Joah A. Rittenhouse of Telford, PA, Taleh R. Andersen (Christopher) of Waterdown, Ontario and Emily S. Rittenhouse (Kenny Graham) of Harrisonburg, VA; his great grandchildren, Cora H. Rittenhouse of Harrisonburg, VA, Ryan N. Rittenhouse of Harrisonburg, VA and Simon H. Rittenhouse of Harrisonburg, VA; his sister Mary Rittenhouse-Schwartzentruber (Hubert) of Lansdale, PA; and his sister-in-law Beulah Rittenhouse of Souderton, PA..

“We were long time customers of “Mr. R”. Our family looked forward to Thursday evenings when he would make his rounds and we would be rewarded with fresh chicken, ground beef, eggs, corn, tomatoes….you name it, he had it, & we bought it. His food nourished our family for years and his friendship nourished our souls. He was the kindest, sweetest, most patient and gracious man whom we welcomed into our home every week. He was an integral part of our lives for 19 years. RIP, Mr R. The Hausers”
