He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Simpson and E. Jane Simpson (Gass); and his siblings, Donald L. Simpson and Helen Elizabeth "Beth" Maki. He is survived by: his children, Sean M. Deiter Sr. (Tonya) and Shannon Reed; his grandson Sean M. Deiter Jr.; and his siblings, Jack H. Simpson, Cynthia Ann Simpson and Sandra S. Heintzelman.
