He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Sr. Boyer and Elva Boyer (Osman); his wife Brenda Wilhour; and his sister Pam Boyer. He is survived by: his son Lynn W.; his daughter-in-law Lori J. Boyer of Durham, NC; his daughter Keri J.; his son-in-law James H. Miller of Danville; his grandchildren, Ashley Hester, Rochelle Austin and Matthew Miller; his great grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Tighe, Dakota, Camren, Xander and Braelyn; and his sister Joyce Williams of Sunbury.
In lieu of flowers, in honor of John's commitment to education, contributions may be made to the donor's local library.
