He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Aponte and Pilar Collazo. He is survived by: his wife Maria; his children, Richard (Kris), Gerald (Doreen), Nat (Marilyn), Javillet, Victoria and Mason (Laura); his grandchild Lizbeth Aponte Garcia; his sisters, Maria Augustina Aponte, Gladys Basulto and Maria Palmira Aponte; his grandchildren, Richard (Rachael), Jared, Alyssa (Michael), Zachary, Isabel (Mathew), Alec, Brandon, Brittany, Gabriel, Alejandro Manuel Cornier and Alejandra Liz Cornier; and his great grandchildren, Oaklyn and Annalys. He is also survived by his many foster children, nieces and nephews.
