He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lawrence Sandt and Virginia Sandt (Strunk); and his siblings, Clayton Sandt and Jane M. Howley. He is survived by: his daughter Mariah Morris; his granddaughter Jordan; his friend Wanda Hoffman; his sister Nancy Ritz (Joseph Ritz); and his nieces, Denise Fox (Ritz) and Michelle Jordan (Ritz). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
