He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Ann Christian; his parents, Edward H. Sr. Christian and Marie Christian (Stoltz); and his sister Judy Christian. He is survived by: his children, Edward Christian (Cindy) of East Stroudsburg and Patti Linnane (Matt) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Tyler Christian of Stroudsburg, Owen Christian of Stroudsburg, Colton Christian of Stroudsburg and Risa Linnane of Harrisburg; and his sister Kathy Krupsha (Andrew) of Sugarloaf.
