He was predeceased by: his parent Samuel Carney. He is survived by: his parent Jessie Carney (Reese); his wife Ruth Edmuston; his stepchildren, David (Karen) of Ebensburg, Bill (Lydia) of Ebensburg, Edward (Bernadette) of Ebensburg, Charles (Janet) of Ebensburg and Nancy (Lee) of Franklin, TN.; his grandchild Lucerne; and his son Mike. He is also survived by 21 step-grandchildren, 25 step-great grandchildren; and 7 step-great-great grandchildren.
