He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Theron Canouse and Hazel M. Canouse; his wife Judy A. Canouse (Litzenberger); his children, Joshua Judd Canouse of Berwick and Samijo Canouse-Matthews (Tyson) of Shickshiny Valley; his stepdaughter Mary Jaffin of Stillwater; his grandchildren, Haley Wildoner (Matt), Makayla Canouse, Kendyll Canouse and Kenadee Matthews; his great grandchildren, Dakota, Phoenix and Jade; and his siblings, Kent D. Canouse (Judy) of Shamokin, Gary S. Canouse (Carla) of Berwick, Amity J. Lewis (Gary) of Berwick and Brenda Schrader (Will) of Berwick.
