He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Heller and Margaret La Masney Heller; and his siblings, Charles, Elizabeth, Edith, Kathleen and Margaret.

He is survived by: his wife Dolores "Dolly" Mika Heller; his children, Cynthia Bareis (Clemente Graziano), Janice Vogel (Michael), Constance Andersen (Jan), John E. Heller (Claudia) and Edward Heller (Linda); his siblings, David Heller (Mary) and Mary Carol Murray (Bill); and his grandchildren, Jamie Smith, Jacklyn Day, John R. Heller, Melissa Jahr, Nicholas Heller, Christopher Heller, Joseph Andersen, Ryan Andersen, Daniel Andersen, Edward Heller, Christian Vogel, Marc Vogel, Nathan Vogel and Shannon Vogel. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name can be made to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Donations, in support of autism research, at P.O. Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352, and/or to Holy Redeemer Hospice c/o Holy Redeemer Development Office, at 521 Moredon Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
